Packed with plenty of ripe cherries, blackberries, and plum. Very silky on the mid-palate and the finish. It also is not overdone with the oak. Tasting notes: "The 2010 Angels Landing Cabernet Sauvignon, with its ripe black fruits and tannic structure tastes like a hypothetical blend of a rich valley floor Cabernet from Oakville and a structured Howell Mountain Cabernet. Aromas of blackberries on the nose. On the palate there is black currant, some cassis, dark chocolate, mocha, and good structure. The Culprit is a blend predominantly of Syrah, Zinfandel, and Petite Sirah, with six other varietals thrown into the mix to give it plenty of complexity. Like the highly successful 2009 vintage, 2010 is a big, bold, and intense wine. Tasting notes: "Rich and deeply concentrated with ripe raspberries, black cherries, briary spice, and silky tannins. There is a long finish with more raspberries and a nice elegant structure on the finish that should blossom with even more fruit flavors and spice after it's been opened."
