Acanto Yecla 2007 Call for Price/750 ml.
Yecla is the region in Spain where this wine originates. The blend is 65% Monastrell - also known as Mourvedre, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Garnacha - or Grenache, grown in high altitude vineyards with limestone soils, and aged in French and American oak barrels for just under a year. This is a fruity, new world style wine, with blackberry aromas, layers of brambly berries, graphite and cassis on the palate, and sweet wood smoke and firm tannins on the finish.
